Short-Term Respite Stay

When you need some extra support and reassurance after a hospital stay, or while your caregivers are away on vacation, or if you simply want to experience community living before you make a long-term decision, then our short-term respite stay can help you. Golden Oaks Village offers short-term stays in our assisted living facility to include a furnished apartment, linens and towels, housekeeping service, three daily meals, full use of amenities, and Level 4 supportive care for one flat daily rate (reservation deposit is waived for respite care).  Short-term respite (minimum stay of 14 days) is subject to the availability of a respite room.

Health Care Partners

When a resident’s needs require assistance beyond the supportive services provided by Golden Oaks Village, we can coordinate additional care through our health care partners, including in-patient skilled nursing, rehabilitation therapies, long term nursing care, home health services, private duty care, hospice, and medical supplies and equipment.  Our solid relationship with our health care partners allows us to be fully comprehensive in addressing a resident’s need for additional support and/or appropriate placement in another facility.  Our Administrator and Director of Nursing will assist to ensure smooth delivery of required health care services, with respect for the residents' choice of providers.

Independent Living

Active and independent seniors will enjoy the personal freedom and privacy of our individual duplexes and detached homes, combined with the comfort and security of community living. Basic supportive care services can help you maintain your independence and make the most of your active lifestyle. Services include planned activities, housekeeping and linen service, access to facility dining services, general and yard maintenance, 24-hour security, and oversight of your health and wellness.  Residents living independently with basic supportive care services are able to safely self-administer their own medications.

ActivitiesActivities

Golden Oaks Village offers a lively activities program to encourage friendships, promote a sense of belonging, and foster residents’ self-esteem, creativity, education, and independence.  Activities are planned with consideration for the preferences of our residents, including interests, hobbies, lifestyle and culture.  Planned group outings to explore our hometown may include shopping trips, dinner outings, or visits to local attractions.

Since 2014, in partnership with Stillwater Public Schools, Golden Oaks Village has provided an inter-generational pre-kindergarten within the facility.  This innovative educational program brings together a class of preschool children with our residents on a daily basis for an entire school term.   These students interact every day with our residents, participating in activities together and providing social enrichment.  By building friendships across generations, our residents and students enjoy lasting and beneficial effects.

I'm interested in volunteering

Since our mother moved to Golden Oaks, her overall health has improved greatly.  The staff and caregivers are the best!  They are kind, compassionate and go out of their way to help.  They all truly care for those they are caring for.  Mom is now active and looks forward to the outings and activities provided.  I highly recommend this community!
